Earth Quake (2005)

PHDF/ NCHD mobilized its resources in response to the earthquake in Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad and Kashmir in 2005. The summary of the relief work is given below:

450 shelters constructed
500 transitional schools were setup
50,000 students were enrolled
1,700 tents were provided
100,000 people were provided health services

IDPs Mardan (2009)

PHDF/ NCHD mobilized its resources in response to the Internally displaced persons as a result of operation carried out against the insurgents in Malakand Division. The summary of the relief work done is given below:

15 transitional schools were setup
1,323 students were enrolled
75 teachers were given trauma training
818 medical camps were organized
67,031 patients were treated
Rs. 37 million medicines distributed

Floods (2010)

PHDF/ NCHD mobilized its resources in all the flood effected districts of Pakistan in response to the floods in 2010. The summary of the relief work done is given below:

Rescue & Evacuation
Rescued 16,975 people using 104 boats
Rescued 45,743 people using 193 vehicles
Rescued 25,600 people using 3 trains

Provision of Shelter, Food and Water
3,041 tents were provided
75,502 families were provided dry ration
373,792 persons were provided cooked food for one month
47,596 bottles of water were distributed
1,364 water tankers (aqua tablets treated)

Medical Assistance
121,128 patients were treated in 634 mobile camps
122,838 patients were treated in 979 static camps

Education Activities & Recreational Activities
333 temporary learning and recreational sites were established for 16,245 learners.
317 adult literacy social counseling centers were established for 4,481 learners.
